Tara Justice  - Nail Technician

UC8.JPG

Hi, I am Tara Justice. Attending Nail Technician Classes had been on my list of goals since I was a teenager. To achieve this goal, I started communicating with Summit Salon Academy (SSA) at the beginning of August 2021 to start the planning process. I signed my enrollment agreement on August 24, 2021. At that time, it still hadn’t become real to me that I was actually going to be attending school and achieving my lifelong goal. My first day was September 13, 2021. Now, it was becoming real that I would be fulfilling this goal that I had set out to achieve. I had jumped the hurdles to make it possible.

I had so many emotions flowing the first day of school. I was a nervous wreck. As all the new students came into the classroom, they were so young and full of energy. How would I ever fit in, I thought. The more I got to know everyone, I realized how helpful, kind and accepting they were. I become known as the “Mom” of the class.  My classmates have been good friends. I graduated on December 7, 2021.

I started working at The Upper Cut on December 13, 2021. I have loved building my clientele and making new friends. I enjoy being able to be creative, helping clients feel good about themselves and enjoy a little “me time”.

I have 3 wonderful children. Zaria is my oldest. She just graduated OSU for middle childhood education. Jasmyn is my middle child. She is a nurse at Parkview. Jacob is my youngest. He is a 6th grader at Defiance Elementary School. They keep me busy but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Some of my favorite things to do are spend time with family and friends, gardening, kayaking, traveling (to the beach the most), riding bike, and just being outside.
